As June comes to a close, FITB is ending its fifth school year delivering weekend bags to students. Over the short span of just five years our program has grown from 50 students weekly to over 1,000, a triumph that we couldn’t be more proud of.
The school year may be coming to an end but FITB is firing at all cylinders to gear up for our summer deliveries to 8 different programs! We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new camps in Norwalk reaching a total of 1,100 campers this summer. In the Fall we will be delivering to 18 schools, which includes the expansion of our current Norwalk program and the addition of our first school in Greenwich, CT.
We’d like to recognize that all of our growth would not be possible without the tremendous support from the community. FITB would like to thank each and every volunteer who has spent hours, or even days, joining us in our fight against hunger. We would also like to recognize our devoted and passionate donors who make our dreams of expansion a reality.
We are proud to be ending the 2017/2018 school year as our most impactful year to date and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
