Volunteers with Filling in Blanks, including Janice Mariani of Angela's Specialties Fine Foods and Karen Newman help deliver over 200 holiday backpacks to Maritime Odyssey Preschool students Wednesday, December 18, 2019, at Nathnaiel ely School in Norwalk, Conn.
The new backpacks were filled with special gifts for the holidays, including a book, a toy, pancake mix with syrup, a hat, gloves, socks, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. Filling in the blanks delivers over 2000 take home meals to underprivileged children in Norwalk Public School every month.
Filling in the Blanks has recently expanded to include 27 schools throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties delivers 2000 weekend meals a week and has delivered over 130,000 to children in low-income households.
