Jenny Volanakis

Jenny grew up in the Midwest and moved to New York City after college. She and her husband, Andy, moved to New Canaan 5 years ago and have two boys Max (10) and Teddy (7). Jenny started volunteering with Filling in the Blanks in 2016 after meeting Shawnee at a packing event at her kids' school. Jenny has handled PR for FITB in previous years and will be serving for a third year as co-chair of the Holiday Backpack program.



In addition to being a PR professional, Jenny has been involved with a variety of non-profits including the New York Junior League, New York Women in Communications, the Young Survival Coalition, the Cambridge Weekend Backpack program and the board of the East School PTC. Her commitment to FITB stems from the desire to help children in her community in a very tangible, hands-on way and has involved her kids as volunteers in the program as well.
