Our meal and pantry programs run on approximately 300 volunteer hours per week! Join the amazing group of friends and neighbors who help pack meal bags and assist delivery operations each and every week so we can continue to serve our community.
Packing events primarily take place in our warehouse and are typically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Once you’ve created an account, you can begin signing up for available shifts and receive notifications of upcoming needs. Your employer might even offer support based on your volunteerism. Recurring Volunteer Needs

Pack Meal bags
Must be at least 14 years old. Many hands make light work when there are 10,000 meal bags to assemble and deliver each week. We’ve got it down to a science! Groups and individuals can register to hop on the assembly line in 2-hour shifts. Note that this is a fast-paced and active volunteer opportunity; must be able to stand for 2 hours and lift 10 LBS. Our more experienced volunteers are invited to become a Lead Packer, Packing Assistant, or Teen Helper — important leadership roles that ensure packing events run smoothly and efficiently! These roles require a brief training session. Email volunteer@fillingintheblanks.org to learn more.

Assist at the Mobile Pantry
Must be at least 21 years old. Join us in bringing fresh, nutritious food directly to communities in need! As a Mobile Pantry Volunteer, you’ll play a hands-on role in setting up, distributing food, and engaging with families in an outdoor environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy being active, working with others, and making a tangible difference in their community. Email volunteer@fillingintheblanks.org.

Corporate Events
Engage employees in a team-building exercise that everyone can feel good about. Join us at the warehouse, our mobile pantry, or talk to us about how we can bring a packing event to you! We aren’t just innovating new solutions to hunger, we’re innovating new ways to express your company values. Learn more and contact us today!
Not only is volunteering fulfilling, but interacting with a community of people that come together to give their time to better others’ lives has been life-changing. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to volunteer with such an amazing organization that is changing the world one bag at a time!
